Pick 4 Plus 1 More

I finished up another freebie. I'm working on a new set of products that are more of a print and go type activity.  Many of my products require some prep before using, so I thought these would be a nice addition to my store. Click on the picture to download at my store.

Subtraction Freebie

I worked on a little freebie today.  Click on the picture below to download at my store. My students always need a little extra practice with regrouping.

Sometimes seeing an entire page of problems is a bit overwhelming for some. Students will get to choose 4 problems to complete and then complete one more that is teacher selected with a star.

My students love to color the tiniest of pictures this year, so they will enjoy this! Sometimes I think they ignore the directions while they think about asking if they may color the pictures when they are finished.

Descriptive Writing

This week we will work on writing descriptive paragraphs.  In December, they worked on this. They enjoyed it, so I thought we could use hearts for February. Click on the picture to download this Freebie.

Decimal Love Bugs

Here's what we've been up to in math.

After using a PowerPoint with dry erase boards to review decimals, we made our own examples to display in the hallway.

This week we'll practice some more with this activity that I just posted in my store.

Welcome to Create Learn Explore!

Welcome!  I've decided to join the world of  blogging to share ideas and learn new ones.  My name is Nancy and this is my 21st year teaching, and 20th in 3rd grade.  I love this age! They are still eager to learn and a lot of fun, yet more independent.

I enjoy creating activities for my students and watching them learn and explore. I hope to take new ideas into the classroom for them through sharing with others.

A teacher's work is never finished, even on snow days.  What did you create today? My students are working on learning their multiplication facts, so I created a little cut and paste practice for them.  You can pick this up for free at my store by following the link below.
