This year we are starting My Math. Their on-line program sold me! It'll be so nice to not need to create my own PowerPoint lessons for an activity! I'm excited for the change. I've used parts of the program previously, but I still found that some students just need additional practice. I've created a few place value activities to start off the year, and hope to create more as we move through the program.

Math Programs
Our school has used Everyday Math for about 12 years, but there has been a lot of supplementation. I liked it at first, but over the years it was less helpful to my students. As a teacher, I could clearly see which teachers supplemented and which did not. As a parent, I didn't care for it. There simply wasn't enough practice.

Have you seen these digital cards?
These digital cards are amazing! I'm creating Boom Cards™ multiplication facts for my students to use next year. I think they'll be excited about practicing their facts! They'll be available in Boom Learning℠ or at my TPT store!
What are Boom Cards™? Here's some more information about them.
Boom Cards play on modern browsers (released in the last three years) on interactive whiteboards, computers and tablets. Boom Cards apps are also available. Not sure your browser is modern enough? Try a free Boom Cards deck first. When you redeem your purchase, Boom Learning opens an account for you if you do not already have one. For TpT customers new to Boom Cards, Boom Learning will give you, for one year, a free account that lets you track student progress for up to 80 students. At the end of that year, you may renew or choose not to renew. If you do not renew, you will be able to continue using Boom Cards with the Fast Play feature. Fast Play does not track individual progress.
Click on the picture of the sun below and it'll take to you the preview in my store at Boom Learning℠.

Spring break has finally arrived! This has been an incredibly busy school year, and I've missed creating. After reviewing some math data for my class, I decided to make a fun little review game for properties of multiplication. Kids love puzzles!
Our students begin testing once we return from break. We'll be busy reviewing!
